What kind of photographer are you? I am a natural light photographer using a lifestyle and documentary approach to my sessions. I will be documenting your family’s unique connection and love.

Where will my maternity session be held? Maternity sessions can be done outside or inside. We will discuss details of your session location via email.

When will my maternity shoot be held? Maternity shoots are usually done between 28-36 weeks but can be done up to 40 weeks.

How long will my session be? Your session will be approximately an hour or less with the exception of the newborn sessions. Newborn sessions are longer even with small kiddos. Newborn sessions generally last about an hour and a half.

What will my session be like? I will start out by talking with you, your partner, and your kiddos (if you have them) just so everyone will feel comfortable. You will love and cuddle on your family. I will be facilitating interactions with your family. The lifestyle parts of your session are posed (I will remind you to not look at the camera) and as we are walking places or during a break for kiddos I will also be doing a documentary approach. Running and busy children? No problem, I have ways to capture them with their movement. Again, be ready to cuddle, interact and love on your family.

What time will my session be? Because I am a natural light photographer, the time of shoot is very important. If we are shooting in home, your session will be mid-day. Outside locations will be an hour to hour and a half prior to sunset, the light is too harsh mid-day. By shooting prior to sunset, the sun provides beautiful light. The images in my portfolio look the way they do due to the use of light and time of day the sessions took place. Families usually have kiddos take a late nap or have some down time prior to their evening session, this usually works great. Making it fun for the kiddos to be out later than usual works, too.

Where will my newborn session be held? Fresh 48 sessions are usually done in the hospital or birth center. Occasionally a Fresh 48 is done in the home. Most regular newborn sessions are done in the home. In the summer, newborn sessions can be done outside. Newborn sessions, usually, occur in the first week after birth.

What should I wear? Wardrobe should be comfortable and reflect who you all are. My suggestion is to not match but coordinate. Mama, you pick your outfit and then coordinate the rest of the outfits around you. .

Will I get the digital photos from my session? All of your hand-edited digital images are delivered via online gallery. I do not believe in you only getting a small amount of them when they are YOUR images so you will be able to download entire gallery.

When will my photos be ready? You will have your photos in approximately 4 weeks after your session.

How can I order prints and products from you? When you have your photo gallery and you find a photo you absolutely love, you are welcome to tag it as a favorite in your gallery. Once you tag it, you are welcome to email me the size of print or product you would like.
