What kind of photographer are you? I am a natural light photographer using a lifestyle and documentary approach to my sessions. I will be documenting your family’s unique connection and love. I want to capture who your kiddos are, smiling or not. Although, my hope is I will have genuine smiles from your kiddos because of the interaction they are having with you. Be ready to cuddle and love on your family.

Where will my session be held? This is dependent on the type of session you will have. In-home or outside. For outside sessions we will determine where is best depending on your location (Delta, Grand Junction, Montrose etc.).

How long will my session be? Session time will vary depending on your type of session and if you have small kiddos. If you have small kiddos, I try to keep your session to approximately an hour with the exception of newborn sessions. Newborn sessions are longer even with small kiddos. If you have a newborn session, we will discuss this more prior to the session.

What will my session be like? I will start out by talking with you, your partner, and your kiddos (if you have them) just so everyone will feel comfortable. You will love and cuddle on your family. I will be facilitating interactions with your family. The lifestyle parts of your session is posed (I will remind you to not look at the camera) and as we are walking places or during a break for kiddos I will also be doing a documentary approach. Running and busy children? No problem, I have ways to capture them with their movement. Again, be ready to cuddle, interact and love on your family.

What time will my session be? Because I am a natural light photographer, the time of shoot is very important. If we are shooting in home, this will depend on the location of your house and which way your windows will be facing. We will discuss this more once the location is picked. Outside locations will be one hour prior to sunset, the light is too harsh mid-day. By shooting one hour prior to sunset, the sun provides beautiful light. The images in my portfolio look the way they do due to the use of light and time of day the sessions took place. Families usually have kiddos take a late nap or have some down time prior to their evening session, this usually works great. Making it fun for the kiddos to be out later than usual works too.

Where will my newborn session be held? Fresh 48 sessions are usually done in the hospital or birth center. Occasionally a Fresh 48 is done in the home. All regular newborn sessions are done in the home, usually in the first week.

What should I wear? Wardrobe should be comfortable and reflect who you all are. My suggestion is to not match but coordinate. Mama, you pick your outfit and then coordinate the rest of the outfits around you. .

Will I get the digital photos from my session? All of your hand-edited digital images are delivered via online gallery. I do not believe in you only getting a small amount of them when they are YOUR images so you will be able to download entire gallery.

When will my photos be ready? You will have your photos in approximately 4 weeks after your session.

How can I order prints and products from you? When you have your photo gallery and you find a photo you absolutely love, you are welcome to tag it as a favorite in your gallery. Once you tag it, you are welcome to email me the size of print or product you would like.
